What Customers Say About Canon PowerShot SD950IS 12.1MP Digital Camera with 3.7x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom (Titanium):

How do the photos look. First, it's a premium point and shoot and it looks it. Excellent camera. Very nice: clear, sharp, vibrant color.Additionally, I was surprised how nice movies were, better than I expected and better than movies shot with 'designed-for-still-shots' camera I have seen in the past. The titanium exterior is awesome - strong but surprisingly it doesn't feel too heavy.Good viewscreen, and the viewfinder is a plus on this size camera.Ergonomically, it is a natural to hold and easy to shoot with one hand. The camera has image stabilization and many setting choices that can be used should you wish to do so. Or you can shoot "auto" and your photos will be great, too.
Sturdy-- I've dropped it a number of times, and it still turns on.I highly recommend this camera. Easy to turn the flash off when needed (a feature I use quite often). Takes great pictures in low light. I've had many, many, MANY different point and shoot digitals (since the days of Sony Mavica). It's worth every penny I paid for it. It takes fantastic shots (many easily as good as my digital SLR). This particular camera is by far my favorite. Very quick recovery time between shots, which is a must-have feature for me.
camera great, pictures have turned out nice, everything was new in box and working just as described
We're going to try an Olympus Stylus Tough series camera this time and see how it performs. Have had good success with the older version of this camera (IS750) but we gave it to a relative when we upgraded to this one. We got a good amount of use out of this camera but were disappointed when the camera stopped functioning on a recent outing, 15 months after purchase (and 3 months out of warranty). At first we thought it might be a dead battery but after changing batteries the lens will not open and the camera won't power up.
We were on vacation last week visiting distant grand kids followed by a scenic tour. I liked this camera (even though interior photos. Didn't get ANY pictures of the rest of the family or our later travels. After reading here about costs of repair after warranty I decided to replace it with ANYTHING that is not Canon. Fortunately, we were able to get some great kid photos, but the next morning it was deader than a doornail. no flash. were fuzzy) UNTIL it quit working after 18 months.
